Simply the best! I have always loved La Valencia Hotel and this summer wedding was no exception. I often say that when you choose a beautiful venue, most everything else can be simple: flowers, photography, rentals. You need minimal to get the achieved look because the "look" is ever present.
My bride was happy and confident. Each element came together naturally and easily. The couple travel often so they chose a map and airplane as graphics on the invite. We incorporated a large 3 foot map the day of the wedding as guests entered the ballroom so they could apply a tack signifying their home town. It was a focal point and conversation starter.
She chose shades of orange for flowers, designed by Adrienne Smith, and added touches of fresh summer blue. The ceremony decor was minimal as the venue garden itself is extraordinary. The altar was flanked with two simple yet lovely arrangements. For dinner, I suggested we increase sophistication by using a subtly patterned gold linen along with gold chiavari chairs. It added elegance and shine to the room –reminiscent of a woman wearing gold shoes and jewelry with her orange and blue dress.
The bridesmaids wore a beautiful and flattering blue dress and you guessed it--gold shoes and accessories.
The evening was filled with fun and smiles (and the occasional teary eye) as Tim Otto photographed, TAProductions spun music, and JK Expressions provided caricature artistry. The wedding was simply beautiful at a stunning hotel and a lovely bride to work with.
